Chef Taylor Fraiser,                                    Head Clubhouse Chef

Q: Why did you choose to join the team at Boot Ranch?
A: My reason for choosing Boot Ranch is my love for the Texas Hill country and the people here. The facilities at Boot Ranch turned me on to this place.

Q: What are you most looking forward to at Boot Ranch?
A: I am most looking forward to the development of the property structurally and with our membership.

Q: What do you hope to provide to Boot Ranch members?
A: I would love to provide the best meal that can be found in this part of the state to our members.

A: What I love most about the Hill Country is the scenery, especially this time of year. And all of the local wineries and vineyards in the area.

Q: What are your favorite dishes to prepare?
A: I love to prepare anything that has a southwestern flare, making cold refreshing tasty food when it is blazing hot outside!

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?
A: I would like to thank the member for their continuous support with the food and beverage department and boot ranch as a whole during these times of growth and development.

Golf Notes: Adversity on the Course

by BootRanchTeam on April 19, 2012

No game of golf is without adversity, the course itself is full of opportunities waiting patiently for the misguided golf shot.  Hazards, the rough, trees and penalties await us all. Even the best players are not immune.  Enjoy a few words of wisdom from some the greats of the game when dealing with hardship on the course.

  • “Adversity is a fork in the road.  You’ll get better or you’ll get worse, but you’ll never stay the same.” – Ken Venturi
  • “When in trouble, play the shot you know you can hit, not the shot you hope you can hit.” – Jack Burke Jr.
  • “Start each hole with an awareness that there may be subtle or mysterious elements waiting to sabotage your game.” – Robert Trent Jones Jr.
